Reporting to the Business Analyst and IT Support and Systems Administrator’s role will be primarily accountable for the resolution of all user tickets and the maintenance of 99.9% uptime of ICT services. The main area of this roles jurisdiction is, Networks, Data centre operations, IT Support and Security.
The individual will be expected to demonstrate commitment and loyalty and perform all duties in accordance with the organization’s office routines and procedures, keeping in mind the overall business objectives.
Key Responsibility Areas:
  • Responsible for the administering and ensuring high availability of Resolution Insurance corporate information systems and hardware.
  • Administering the Resolution Insurance local and wide area networks
  • Implements and administers software and hardware security controls to protect corporate information from both internal and external threats.
  • Maintains documentation relating to setup, configuration and ensures that they are upto date.
  • Root cause analysis and reporting of all identified problems and incidents.
  • Perform routine back up and recovery of information.
  • Performs long-range and capacity planning for the ICT infrastructure, to support business needs.
  • Performs initial setup, software installation, testing and security hardening of computer server systems.
  • Performs software patching and keeps systems in compliance with applicable standards.
  • Troubleshoots hardware/software problems and system failures.
  • Compliance to ICT policies
  • Coordinate monthly Inspections of IT, Infrastructure and assets to ensure standards are met.
  • Provide first level telephone or email support and appropriately managing the I.T helpdesk.
  • Frequently liaise with users and monitor IT departments to ensure requests by them are satisfactorily handled.
  • Any other roles as may be assigned by your supervisor.
Knowledge & Experience Required
Essential
  • A degree in IT.
  • CCNA certification.
  • ITIL Certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years working experience, 1 of which is in a similar position.
Desirable
  • Project Management.
  • Working knowledge of MCITP and VCP.
  • Good Problem solving skills and highly analytical.
  • Expert knowledge in VM Ware.
  • Certification in Microsoft windows server administration
  • Administration of Firewall.
