POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Contractors Registration Board (CRB) is a government autonomous regulatory body established by Act of Parliament No. 17 of 1997 "to register and regulate all types of contractors and to promote the development of their capacities for the purpose of protecting consumers of construction services in Tanzania.
In order to carry out its functions effectively and thereby meet its objectives, it needs dynamic and creative Tanzanian Citizens who are performance driven
QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of a Degree in either Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or Equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution with at least three years' experience; and must be registered with the relevant Board
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Carry out inspections related to constructions site
ii. Identify defaulters for legal action
iii. Investigate complaints received and recommend for further action
iv. Review of non performing Contractors
v. Carry out inspection for new applicants, upgrading and review of registered
contractors from time to time.
vi. Carry out sensitization programs to raise awareness on compliance to Act No.
17 of 1997 and its by laws of 1999(as amended 2008)
vii. Maintain records of site inspections and prepare reports.
viii. Perform any other duties as may be directed
AGE LIMIT:
The age limit for the position’s is 40 years.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for Regulatory activities related to the contracting industry. He or she is accountable to the Zonal Manager.
The Contractors Registration Board (CRB) is a government autonomous regulatory body established by Act of Parliament No. 17 of 1997 "to register and regulate all types of contractors and to promote the development of their capacities for the purpose of protecting consumers of construction services in Tanzania.
In order to carry out its functions effectively and thereby meet its objectives, it needs dynamic and creative Tanzanian Citizens who are performance driven to fill the following vacant positions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of a Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Management,
Procurement and Logistics or equivalent qualification from a recognised higher learning Institution with Post graduate work experience of at least 5 years.
Registration with Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technician Board is an added advantage.
Reports to: Assistant Registrar Finance and Administration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To administer procurement of stocks, capital items and services
ii. required by the Board
iii. To maintain safety, security and cleanness of assets of the Board
iv. To be In-charge of Transport
v. To administer records keeping of the Board
vi. To keep records of Board's Assets and Stocks
vii. To supervise administrative services of the Board
viii. To maintain good public image of the Board through courteous taff and clean surroundings
ix. To supervise Drivers, office attendant and Record management staff and ensure provision of efficient office services
ix. To do any other duties as may be assigned
