Nollywood the largest film industry in Africa is in jeopardy due to the increasing popularity of Tanzanian movies(swahiliwood)everyday in east and central African countries and even beyond.In recent years film actors from Tanzania have been welcomed and treated like national leaders in foreign lands like Rwanda,Burundi, DRC and others something even shocked Tanzanian leaders and even nollywood stars like Ramsey Nouh, Mercy Johnson and Inkiru Sylivenus have already worked in Tanzanian films. Tanzanian film stars are many but here we will give you the Top 10 most popular film stars in Tanzania 2012 and since next year we will give you the list of best performances of the year. She has been in films opposite almost all leading male actors in the industry,her scandals have been fadeless, the star of young billionaire and Mrembo kikojozi movies covered the media this year with her boyfriend,fiancee and eventually a husband(De Monte) after their marriage where by the husband is a business tycoon who lives in Dubai

Her popularity decreased this year contrary to the last three years where she was dominating as the most popular actress in swahiliwood, the sexy diva is the mom of one, this year she appeared in movies like Sister Marry and Sobbing sound with her hot screen pair Vicent Kigosi(Ray). Uwoya rose to fame after she portrayed the title role in the movie Oprah.

He is one of the leading heroes in the industry though his fame has decreased few kilos with no apparent reasons this year contrary to few years back. he has produced, directed many movies and acted in like My dreams. His releases this year include A woman of principal opposite Nargis Mohammed and Elizabeth Michael(Lulu)

He is the owner of Jerusalem film company which has produced films like Naenda kwa mwanangu, DJ Ben and others, He is talented and his fame is increasing day to day although his body weight has been in debate for years now.

 Her fashion is always flamboyant, Wolper is trying her best to be a verstile actress and escape from the typecast theory of the industry. she has been in many flicks this year including Taxi Driver and Princess. she won Ijumaa sexiest girl in 2012.Her relationship with business tycoon Dallas made her more popular in the media though they broke up eventually

 

3:ELIZABETH MICHAEL(LULU)

The chic has acting talent and her popularity crossed boundaries and even extra miles after the death of popular actor Steven Kanumba as she was held as the number one suspect and people were shocked by the news that they were an item, although her case has already been changed to killing unintentionally.her films released post killing allegations like House Boy and woman of principal maintained her fame
